Managing Autism - A Personal View

Hello and welcome to Managing Autism - a personal view!

We’re parents of two beautiful young children.  Our son is Jack - who has been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, and our younger daughter is Anna.  Whilst our son is highly functioning, we face many challenges in our life as do all other parents and carers of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Through Managing Autism - a personal view, our aim is to provide a place of support and friendship to other parents and carers of children with an ASD, as we share our personal story.

Parenting a child with an ASD is very different to parenting a ‘typical’ child and so along with our story, we will share some great practical parenting strategies and ideas that we come across, or that have worked for us, as we journey through life with an autistic child.

So thank you for visiting our blog and being a part of our support network.  We welcome your comments and thoughts and are really pleased to be able to share our journey with you.
