I suppose if I had read up on Buspar before hand, I might have questioned the Doctor about prescribing it - but we trust our Doctor (and did at the time, too) . It's a very light dose, but it has worked wonders for Zach. It transformed him so completely that his teachers noticed the difference the first day he was on Buspar and in school. I hope you can find an herbal solution - many of these issues are caused by chemical imbalances in the brain and are, therefore, amenable to chemical solutions.
