We adopted our son at birth after 10 years of infertility, numerous miscarriages, costly and failed infertility treatments. Parenthood is truly a gift to be treasured.

Despite the challenges, we feel very blessed and wouldn't change a thing. Your friends are very lucky to have someone like you who is sensitive to their feelings and all they are going through. My hopes and prayers are with them.

Thank you for such a beautiful post.

I was one of those parents. We wanted a child more than anything and found our way to parenting through adoption. Of course when you want a second child the pain is just as intense as when you wanted the first. After much prayer and time we have come to accept that for whatever reason we are meant for just one child. Your posts are beautiful. I like how you write from your heart.

You're right, sometimes with all the day to day care of the kids we forget to be grateful for them. I am so thankful for each of my kids. They've made me a much better person and helped me to grow in so many ways.
