Snow (no, not in the literal sense) and kisses all round!

Ever get that feeling of being snowed under?  Not literally of course, no chance of that down here in Aus at the moment…

But ’snowed under’ in terms of stuff going on - that’s me right now!!  ’Snowed under’ mainly because I have been incredibly busy catching up on stuff that has needed catching up on for months!!!

And sorting out things with Jack’s school… and getting Annie ready for her first year of Kindergarten… and other appointments… yes, this has kept me fairly ’snowed under’ this week as well…

And I have diverted some of my commitments (okay, so I really shouldn’t say ’snowed under’ here - more a choice to change lifestyle!)… Steve and I have decided that we need to spend a little more time with each other… we tend to get caught up in things going on around us and neglect each other - so we have put ‘us’ back on the weekly agenda (even if it’s sharing an ice cream after we’ve flaked out on the couch in the evening).

So…

In the meantime, whilst I dig myself out from some snow, I have some kisses to share:

Tulipmom planted a big one right on me last week… a big kiss, that is…

… actually it is a “chaste kiss given to say thank you for friendships and comments in the blogosphere.”

And this now means kisses for you all!

Please take a kiss and pass it on accordingly… we all need more kisses!!

Elissa xx

Hardest thing to do - b/c I’m bad for doing it still - is judging today by yesterday. Ex. Should have toilet trained my 6yr old sooner… maybe.. but choices had to be made for both children and family at other points in time. Which is also why I’ve gone back to paper writing so I can write those reason’s easier…. one doesn’t want all of one’s personal business on the web for others to read :)

Today he (6) went to school in “big boy” underpants, no more lined ones. Toiletting isn’t perfect, but at school he’s using the toilet and dry all day… one stage at a time.

So, don’t get completely snowed under - from one who’s Dr keeps checking her BP b/c it got REALLY high before she learnt that lesson. Do what has to be done today and pick one thing you wish done out of the “coulda, shoulda, woulda” list. The list will still be there tomorrow, and you can pick something else then.

Yep, actually have been snowed unter in both the literal and figurative sense lately. Now we’re frozen in (minus thirteen degrees windchill). Hope you can catch up on all your work. Glad you and Steve have committed to “us” time. Best wishes. –jml

I can really relate to the snowed under feeling and knowing that my husband and I need to spend more time alone! I’ve been trying to keep track of all I need to do on a “to do” list, but do you think I ever even think to look at it once I have written something on it?!!! Actually, I am doing a little better with it. I’m just taking things one step at a time!

“Mwha” to you to! Great post!

    Kiss! Kiss!
It is so hard when you feel the “snow” piling up. I am glad you and your hubby will be spending more time together. School advocacy can be a handful.

Right back atcha. Yes, do make time for hubby. If only to tell him how much he means to you. I know how much it means to me when SHE (Actually, a short form of the much longer She Who Must Be Obeyed, because nobody understands when I say SWMBO) tells me - or tells friends when I’m sitting right there getting all gooshy and embarrassed and stuff.

Try to keep your head about water so to speak with all the things to do. I can totally relate. Glad you are making time for your hubby and vice versa, it’s incredibly important for you guys and your kids. Mwah!

Yep know that snowed under feeling very well at the moment.

I was joking with Hubby last night that a trip to hospital emergency room was a pretty drastic way to get some alone time together. But it was kind of fun to go out together, child free and at night. Been a long time since we did that.

    Mwah! Right back at you.

I know that snowed under feeling. I’m digging out from under it literally and figuratively here. So far so good, all is well.

Enjoy your time with your hubby. You both deserve it.

    Mwah! back to you.
