We’re still here!
We’re still alive!!
It only seems like we’ve dropped off the face of the earth!
I didn’t ever stop to think just how hectic things would be once Jack started school. I used to tell myself that things would ease up a little once he was at school 4 days a week (at the moment he’s having a rest day at home in the middle of the week just so that he can then make it through to the end of the week). But it’s crazy!! We’re still trying to fit in what we normally do in a week… but we’ve now added daily school drop offs and pick ups and extra meetings with teachers, kindergarten for Annie, and I’m also attempting to make a return to work… “it’s 6 1/2 hours”, I tell myself, ”just a day a week” - but the logistics involved in me getting there… ARRGGHHH!!!
But today, for the first time in a week, I took some time to ‘chill out’. Annie and I went out to our favourite ice cream shop and for a play at the park. We had a lovely time, and it was nice to forget about appointments and schedules for a while and just relax.
So our somewhat quiet and neglected blog will come back to life… and we’re looking forward to catching up on everyone’s ‘happenings’!
Keep smiling everyone… and remember to ask yourself, “what am I grateful for today”?
(Whatever you think of, it’ll make you feel good…)

I went to the park today with my Annie - funny coincidence. We took photos and walked around and talked for an hour while Heidi was in her early intervention class. So great to just get out for some relaxing one on one time and no stress - I’m very grateful for that.
So glad to see you pop up again, I was worried things had been getting too much. Starting work is huge, even 6.5hours a week is a big commitment. Hope it all goes well and does calm down soon.

Jen P - Our eyes were probably so glazed over that we didn’t even see each other!!
Marita - So glad to hear you’ve had some relaxing time too… we’re both grateful for that today! And I hope the early intervention class is going well for Heidi..

Glad to hear from you. I think we all have those times where our blogging must go in the back seat for other things. I’m happy to hear an update though. Glad you were able to get a relaxing day with Annie.

Glad to see you back. And thanks for stopping by and the comments. You’ve got a full plate, it seems. I’m glad you found some time to relax and come out here to play.

I did jury duty for a week in October. That wasn’t fun but it wasn’t the problem. The problem was I wasn’t home and my “to do’s” didn’t get done and I always felt I was in a rush.
I’ll stick with the books from the farm. Much easier on the sanity.
And my kids are now both in full-time… time??? What time??? Still busy.

We’ve got two playgroups per week and a ballet class - so I know what you mean! It’s the getting there that gets you - LOL! I think the in and out of carseats is what does me in : P Hang in there!

Glad you were able to have a relaxing time with your daughter. It’s probably good to take a day, two three or more off from blogging to achieve balance in life. I should try that… I was glad you posted here again. best wishes–jml.
