My late father spent quite a while in Australia—years ago, in his younger days. He loved it there. He had many pictures. It looks wonderful.

No kids weekends are so rare. But when you get them back it’s nice, too. The kids, that is. Most of the time.

Have a wonderful time out with your husband. I have a few friends with families in other parts of the world. (It’s an higher-ed career hazard.) Have heard that it’s hard. Hope you have had a great visit with Mike and Elian. At least now there is the internet and other technology available to keep in touch efficiently.
